Shorted 8 hours of OT in SoCal

I am a security guard in Southern CA and I worked a 16 hour shift with no notice. I cannot leave my work site without someone taking over the site. They had me work 4 PM to 8AM of the following morning. Said morning of, I clarified with my district manager that it would be paid as OT with the proper numbers laid out by me. He agreed. They are now not paying me overtime since the 2nd half of the 16 hour shift crossed through midnight as the work day is defined as 12 AM-12 AM. Which literally forces me to work any OT passed my shift as straight time. I have already spoken to the labor commissions office and they have backed up my job's claim.
