I work in a car wash and sometimes I get comments about how a worker is expected to work on the hour minute by minute and how chilling or not doing something at work when there’s nothing to do is wrong and is a waste of time.
What frustrates me is who I’m not treated like a human in the sense I can’t just keep moving constantly without some breaks or breathers between working time.
I feel like the definition of hard work today has changed from what it was supposed to be . Hard work today seems like it meets to be slaves out for your whole shift or else I’m not hard working hard enough. If I complain I’m not working hard enough. If I have family problems then I can’t show that at all and I have to suppress it completely and just keep busting my ass or else I’m not hard working enough.
Please does anyone go through this? I feel like I’m doing so much sometimes for so little of wage.
Is there books that speak of this?
