I had 5 days of my last two weeks left. I walk into a complete DISASTER (I worked in a grocery store deli as a shift lead). Someone who switched shifts didn’t show up, my manager called out, another clerk called out which left me closing 2 stations alone. Absolutely no prep work done, sales floor empty. Mgmt pulled people from other depts to help, but that meant that I had to train them on the fly on top of an extremely busy Sunday. The final straw was being yelled at by an entitled “regular” customer. I went to lunch and called my new job to ask if I can start sooner and they said yes. So I walked out and didn’t look back.
