My boss is forcing me to work 17 hour days back to back, knowing full well that I only have 4 hours to sleep between work. Is this even legal?

I’ve been rolling over and accepting it because I’m a salaried employee, but this is just unsustainable. I’m pretty new here so I don’t really have any power whatsoever, but my coworker (on the same schedule) flipped his car driving into work last year. What am I supposed to do?
