My new boss is really micromanaging and strict. Every day I wonder what he will come up with and Monday he really did it in.
– He wants to plan an official 1on1 with me to discuss my many sick days last year. I had a knee surgery that had me in bed and recovering for 2.5 months. Everyone knows it and I filed the documentation on time to the HR department ( sick note from surgeon as well as hospital surgery doc). He said something like ‘if you’re out a lot with burn out then the job isn’t right for you ‘. Even if I was out with a burn out it’s none of their business cause medical information is private. I’m planning to not provide any information on the discussion.
– Next thing he said he wants to make me a proposal for a pay decrease to a lower pay scale (from bachelor level to high school degree admin level). He wants to do this because I’m only doing the admin work. I always said I want to do the actual stuff they hired me for. At the time they needed an admin which they weren’t allowed to hire anymore so they hired me (a bachelor degree) to do the admin work. He proceeded with pulling up the wage simulator. ‘Look it’s only € 100 difference a month.’
