Employers expect two week notice but will terminate your employment on the spot.

Why isn’t it normalized to expect two weeks notice if you’re being let go the same as if you’re leaving a job? I get it if an employee steels or something but if you’re otherwise on good terms it should be precedent. If you’re expected to work two more weeks at a job you don’t like jobs should be expected to employ employees they don’t like for two more weeks.
