Just had to vent this.. may help someone reading. Sorry about english since its not my main language. Worked 5 years at retail store,got fired because wife got pregnant and i had to take days off, its something at my country i am obliged by LAW and they still fired me. So One child up and bills pilling got another slightly better player job at another retail company, i did after sales, did IT support, sold smartphones, sold tvs, sold pretty much everything except home appliances, did restocking, did store changes, you name it… I was good, they all gave me value but the money from bonus kept getting cut and cut… Just because screw me, essential peon worker.
Management kept changing every 6 months because the company was using the store to teach new managers…youre guessing it, each new manager wanted to show work só they kept changing the store and objectives and bonuses as they Saw fit.
Last manager had the nerve to make someone from my team that was clearly not cut for the job, didnt had the knowledge and skills and make them my new boss… I was enraged, i was making 10 years at this company…at this point i reminded i now have not 1 but 3 kids at my care, só i calmed down and Said i want an agreement to leave the company…so i did, they gave me my rights(didnt pay the 10 years antiquity), só i quit and went to recieve unemployement funds.
Was xmas, só first time ever i spent time with kids and january Starter search for a decent job, kept going to interviews and did reject 2 or 3 decent jobs until today i got hired by a small company that is making huge profits and is expanding, só im gonna do their logístics renovation and got a very very good salary, with no conditions, just working my best…health insurance all offered by them, company car if needed, computer, tablet, smartphone…you name it..
Sorry for the long rant… Só bottom line, dont Settle…even if you like youre job, like i did, but they arent giving you youre moneys worth…LEAVE!
