in the united states we have whats called “certificate of need” requirements, most states have them. they are very old laws that are stupid beyond hope, and probably done so the rich gets finest healthcare while you are stuck at the shitty hospital. most CON laws also impact ambulance service and moving services however in some states both of those do not apply.
also because of CON laws, you cannot create hospitals that actually pay their nurses and doctors livable wages and actually give a damn about them. hopefully this sheds some light.
