Feeling Guilty about Quitting

I’m going to quit my job without notice tomorrow. I work at a doggy daycare and was attacked by a dog on Saturday that has attacked other employees before. I have several huge bruises on my arm and throbbing pain from the bruises. This dog had hurt other employees before but was somehow still not dismissed. I’m not risking myself getting hurt again from the owner’s stubbornness. I thought about giving a 2 weeks’ notice, but honestly feel like he doesn’t deserve it. Planning on showing up early to my work and handing my key in before my scheduled shift. The responsible side of me feels so guilty, but my family supports me and thought I was crazy for wanting to give a notice anyway. Just venting, guys. Have you ever had a similar situation?
