I recently had my yearly review. I was injured at work in Dec 2021 and am still recovering. I am a member of management-albeit the lowest paid and least valued. I’ve always known this but it didn’t really bother me until now. This year I was informed that my yearly raise and bonus had been effected by my “health” and “inability to perform my full duties” for the past year. Obviously this was a shock to me, coming from a company I had busted my ass for for 10 years and hurt myself on their property. To make matters worse, I accidentally happened to see the pay increase and bonus letter for another manager-who has been around less time than me and does a shit job-to the point that he’s a running joke even to the boss. His raise and bonus were definitely not effected by that. The unfairness and inequity within the company is so blatant and so ridiculous. I’m hurt and furious by it all.
Just needed to get it out somewhere.
