I have been looking for a new job for months now after my current company made it clear that they don't give out raises despite inflation being out of control and me working there for close to half a decade.
I just got word from a recruiter that a company he's been talking to won't interview me despite meeting all the requirements because they want to see more years. The description says 3+ years and I have over 4. Why do companies even post requirements when they won't even talk to candidates that meet everything they're asking for, including some of the “not required, but helps”?
