Today I had to wait in below freezing temperatures outside because the opening manager wasn't there.
I texted them, I called them.
I texted and called the next manager up. Then the general manager.
Not a single answer.
It's not the first time. I'm a patient girl, and I usually use this free time by doing things on my phone or putting down plot points for a book I'm writing, but they've been coming later and later. First by ten minutes, fifteen, twenty, thirty, more than that. Today I waited over 45 minutes in freezing temperatures outside the store. I ride a motorcycle. Driving a car scares me, but I'm comfortable on a motorcycle. So I didn't have a space with heating to be in.
And all the managers know this.
So I left. I can't afford to quit immediately, even if I want to, but I am certainly going to leave where I am for hopefully something better.
