Had the birth of my first child on the 7th. I told supe wife was at hospital potential emergency c section and got okayed and that he’ll worry about covering my position. Rushed home, showered, rushed to hospital. Had my boy at 9 that night and decided to take off the rest of the week to help my wife recover. Things didn’t go as planned and my son passed that Friday at noon. Ended up take off from the 8th-yesterday.
Got here at 5:30 this morning and all the old boot lockers are on my ass asking why I haven’t been in and that i barely knew him to even be taking off. Went to lunch at 11;30 They then went on to say I should’ve came in and worked to get my mind off of it and that’ll give my wife time to properly grieve without me like she should. That me being off work is gonna make it harder on her since my checks will be shorter.
Needless to say I reported it to hr though I doubt it goes anywhere. Then I’m taking a couple more days off.
