My Form Response To Employers Who Ask For “Personality” or “Aptitude” Assessments

Good afternoon, While I was excited about this opportunity, I will not be pursuing this position any longer. The use of these “personality” and/or “aptitude” tests is an outdated practice. They're pseudo-science at best and inherently biased and discriminatory at worst. Either way it shows me, as a potential employee, that this organization doesn't value or respect employees as individuals. Additionally, as the effectiveness of these has been largely disproved, it shows me that the organization's leadership is relying on misguided beliefs and backwards thinking, certainly in other areas as well as their hiring practices.
