Hired as remote but now they want me in person

I applied to a job that was advertised as fully remote after in-person training that would last for about a month, depending on how fast I learned. I made it known during my initial interview that I was looking for something closer to home compared to my last job or a remote job. Then during the interview, I was asked if I can come in once a week and work in 2 departments I would work 4 days remotely for 1 department and 1 day in person for the other department. I agreed because I would still be driving fewer miles compared to my previous job (I was a hybrid worker at my previous job working 2 days in the office and 3 days at home and I was driving about 28-40 miles per week and my current job would be a total of 26-36 miles to come in once…

I agreed because I would still be driving fewer miles compared to my previous job (I was a hybrid worker at my previous job working 2 days in the office and 3 days at home and I was driving about 28-40 miles per week and my current job would be a total of 26-36 miles to come in once a week). The coworker that trained me for the “1 day in office only department” was the only one in her department and she liked my work ethic so much that she convinced the manager to have me fully be a part of her department.

This is where things started to change. She said I would be required to come into the office twice a week now for further training. (She also was appointed as my supervisor and the head of her department, and I no longer reported to or worked for the manager that hired me) Now that I'm coming in twice a week I'm driving about 52-68 miles per week which is double the miles from my previous job and she wants me to be in the office full-time. She didn't show up to work twice already on the days we agreed to both come in person on (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and I wasn't made aware that I would be alone at the office (when I could've worked from home). Then she had COVID and missed another day of work (which I still had to go in person for) She came in this Tuesday but there was no training involved.

I already talked to HR about my frustrations of how I was promised a remote then changed to 1 day and now I'm doing 2 days for “further training” but I'm not receiving any further training. She said I would have to talk to my newly appointed supervisor about this. I know she won't be willing to have me do 1 day in person because she's trying to push me to come in full-time 5 days a week. I don't want that to happen… I'm looking for another job at the moment but the pay at other companies isn't good. I don't know what to do/day to have myself be back to working in the office only once a week. Please give me some advice I will be talking to her today about this issue.
