I’ve worked so many jobs and I’m only 22. I’ve been working since I was 6, like many people (school is work, nothing more)
Well I’m fucking tired. I never asked to be born, therefore I will live not as another mindless drone in this system, but as someone who thrives outside of capitalism. My goal for the next five years is to prepare for off grid living. I mean literally everything from learning to grow food, take care of livestock, learning electric maintenance and water filtering, how to sew, how to knit, etc etc.
I’ve been homeless before due to my inability to fit neatly tucked into their cookie cutter frame. But the Buddhas are right, homeless is a state of mind. I was so free I couldn’t even describe it. Sure I was cold and hungry but I got a whole new perspective on the world. Watching everyone just busy busy busy around. Always working, always hurting and in pain. While I sat under a tree enjoying the gorgeous sun with no job and no belongings besides what I fit into a hiking rucksack.
I’m no longer here to play the systems game. One of my favourite songs is “Prayer in C by Lilly Wood and The Prick”
and it’s chorus describes my plan perfectly.
“Our world is slowly dying, I’m not wasting no more time”
