Antiwork

Apparently the business is more important than it’s employees.

I work at a fairly big gas station/truck stop and we usually are short staffed, i ended up coming down with the flu during my shift and it progressively got worse. I threw up, had difficulty breathing, turned pale, and was shaky. My manager told me i couldn’t leave and i had to stay on register. I tried to ride it out until i couldn’t and ended up calling my sister to pick me up since i couldn’t drive. It infuriates me that my manager valued making the job a bit easier for her to the detriment of my physical health, at the moment it feels like my lungs are under a vice grip and my body is aching all over.
