I applied for a job that the hours were 8-4. It was in the ad. The recruiter confirmed it. This would be perfect for me so I can continue my physical therapy and other appointments during the week.
Once I found out the hours were 8-5 I tried to make this job work. Unfortunately, I had cancel all my appointments…and have suffered because of it
The job was a basic data entry position. Again, that is what the ad and recruiter said. I’m my first day the position changed to Marketing Assistant. These are very different positions. I have no interest in being a marketing assistant or have the skills for that.
I was told the culture was great. Nope. One woman lost her mind and started screaming obscenities and flipping out. Another one keeps whispering she hates everyone and wants to quit. Then came the religious Easter game. Oh, and the 8 hours of soft jazz that would make anyone go crazy. This was all in the first week.
I do feel the company lied about the position to get a warm body at the desk. Oh well, not my problem anymore.
