From what i understand of the US system of government, it isnt the federal governments job to raise the minimum wage
The federal minimum wage is supposed to be the lowest amount the state can offer, not the minimum wage. The federal minimum wage is for Redneck Jimmy in the middle of nowhere powing a farm, not a server in a big city
The state, county and city can all legislate their on minimum wage. The federal minimun should be the living wage for the lowest denominator with the lowest cost of living. It is the job of local government to make their workers have a living wage
I think this is just a rouse to divert the attention of people from the people who have the power
I really want to hear your thoughts on this matter
