Found out I might have a spinal abscess at the hospital, and although they asked me to stay for an inpatient MRI I said no, and ended up doing it outpatient and going home. I did go to work the next day despite my symptoms because they needed me, but I stopped to explain what was going on to my boss. I explained if it was a spinal abscess, I might need emergency surgery and I will need a lot of recovery time. But I wasn’t sure yet.
He replied with, “Wait, so when’s the surgery? I hope not next Saturday. Next Saturday is awful, and I need people.”
I laughed it off then, but now that I think about it….what a reply 🤔
