A company I worked with a few years ago is being sued by another former employee for unpaid overtime wages due to allegedly improperly classifying certain folks as not being eligible for overtime pay. I received the notice in the mail and must take action to opt in. If I don't respond, I'll be excluded by default.
I'm not an expert in employment law, but I'm struggling with whether I should or should not join the lawsuit. The company was always good to me, and to my knowledge was super generous to everyone (insanely lucrative salaries, benefits, bonuses, lots of internal promotions & training, etc.). For those reasons, I'd feel icky and greedy for joining the lawsuit.
