Imagine your compensation being completely stifled because your company won’t promote you to the next level. And the level of effort to reach the your salary range cap becomes increasingly more difficult to achieve (due to expectations to go above and beyond what you currently do, which happens to be a lot to begin with). Companies love exploiting and playing with employees livelihoods because of power dynamics.
It’s disheartening when you put the majority of your daily life into a job, just to continually be fucked with by upper management. And for what? What’s it all for? Why mess with people who want to make money to live a decent life? I don’t get it.
