When I got hired, it wasn’t based off of my resume it was just an informal in person interview and I’ve been working at this place for just over 5 years and I’m looking to get out.
This place is a nonprofit aimed to help women, and I’ve had enough of it. Older women thinking they can push me around just for the sake of it. I’m the youngest woman here. The only time I was ever happy working here was when I had a part time working at a cannabis shop. Whenever I came back here I could just sense the older women hoping and trying to bring my mood down but they just couldn’t. I was treated better somewhere else and I could see and feel my worth being around all sorts of other people. It sucks, but I’m ready to depart.
I read somewhere here that you don’t get to pick your next job, your experience does. My experience is office administration and records and information management, I have been doing admin work since I graduated with my certificate in office admin, and before that I was a volunteer youth advocate for young people in foster care. (I was in foster care, which is how I got that position).
In updating my resume, I am blanking out. I didn’t keep my resume updated since working here… big no-no, I know. I could really use some kind words in knowing I’m not alone, or just someone to talk to because I hate feeling this way. Thank you in advance, E.
