New to this philosophy, but curious.
Thoughts are these: we give our labour in order to have access to the things our ancestors used to have to work for: food, shelter etc. It’s just a lot more indirect. So shouldn’t we have to give a similar amount of time and effort as our ancestors did? Possibly a bit less as things are much more efficient now, but we also arguably get more in return for it (healthcare etc). We should all give some labour to keep society afloat, or we’d all have to go back to living off the land
How much labour does the anti-work movement advocate for. None at all? I wonder if anyone has worked out, given how efficient our technology is, how much labour per person is actually the “fair amount”?
