I'm supposed to start a new job at a Jushi (corporation) operated grow tomorrow. It's literally the only game in town where I am for a cannabis job. Ive been jobless with not much luck looking elsewhere, and now broke, for months.
Being a stoner, cannabis lover and recent grower, I was appaled when I went for a tour of their facility during interview process. Idk why ppl buy their overpriced garbage.
I have been contemplating not going in tomorrow for last week it's killing me.
I'd love to live elsewhere where I could work for a legacy cannabis growers or “mom n pop” so to speak, not a fucking CORPORATE fuck. Or work for myself, but did I mention I'm fucking poor, lol.
Fuck the system. Venture Capitalists taking advantage of the changing laws and, as we all suspected, swoop in and buy their way in to attempt a takeover with their unlimited capital. These same wealthy billionaires who likely lobbied against cannabis for decades and looked down upon the cannabis culture as a whole.
FUCK THEM. As the mafia put it, La Cosa Nostra, this thing of ours. ITS OUR CANNABIS CULTURE, time to take it back.
Tldr: If you aren't into cannabis, this can be explained as really just another story of corporations using their power of wealth to snub out and monopolize another commodity. And I don't want to participate as an avid cannabis community advocate.
