I made the decision to move out of state because where I currently live has become unaffordable. I’m telling my job in a few days and trying to mentally prepare for myself. I’m going to ask to go remote but I already know the answer is no.
This company has been referring to me as a manager for the past 6 months, but I do not have the official manager title or pay. I’ve also been working on a huge project, but I’m letting them know I’m leaving after the project is finished. The last manager that left with a notice was shunned and the CEO threw a fit. I know nobody at the company will see this coming.
*Before anyone asks, I’m extremely grateful to have a husband who can support both of us while I’m looking for a new job, so I’ll be able to move regardless of the outcome.
