My new job needs do to employment verification which is really freaking me out because I just got fired from a job. I was injured (literally broke a bone and in a cast) and couldn’t complete work asked of me. I was falling behind and needed support. I sent emails asking for help and got nothing. The following week I was fired. I feel like I was punished for getting hurt in an accident. 🙁 I am in the process of filing for unemployment.
Now the new company I am at wants to do an employment verification. I’m really nervous about this because of what happened with my last job. I was hired before getting fired from this job, so the new job doesn’t know I was just fired. What do I do? I don’t want my old company to ruin my opportunity to work.
