One thing I regret is getting my CDL. It has been nothing but a waste of time. Don't get a CDL if you are married and have a family! This is a little rant.
The only way any local jobs will hire is if you have 1 to 2 years of experience. Well the only way to get that, is going over the road, which you can't do if you have a family. Plus that sounds like a terrible situation. I cant imagine living in a truck for months at a time, just constantly working and driving all the time, with no freedom. No thanks! My hats off to you if you are one of those people that do this I can't just take off for long periods of time and leave my family behind. It probably wouldn't be so bad if I was single but I'm not. This whole thing has been frustrating.
