I've seen posts here lamenting having to include cover letters or short introductory videos when applying for jobs. I don't really understand it. Why would you not be willing to do those things, especially if the job is paying $80,000, $90,000, $100,000, or even more? The potential return on investment seems like a slam dunk. Even if you don't get an offer, the effort is so minimal. Why not just do it?
