I recently had to put my two weeks in at my job due to hostile work environment. After telling my boss I would be putting my two weeks in, he cut me off and told me to leave immediately and that my last day would be the day prior. He has continuously berated me in front of my colleagues, has taken away my commissions without taking away anyone else's because he “couldn't afford it (I worked with all men at the time),” says he is “tired of working with women,” say's he doesn't like how I come right at 9AM and leave right at 5PM (those were my hours), The list goes on. When I got my headshots taken for the job, a few weeks later he was looking at my professional photos and said I looked “hot and sexy.” He has also refused to pay my last commission check. I heard proving a case for hostile work environment could take months. I was wondering, since he told me to leave immediately, would this make me eligible for unemployment? Any advice? Thank you!
