Are my rights as a worker being violated?

Question is in the title, I recently started a new job doing FOH(front of house) for a local restaurant in my city (I live in the southeast United States.) according to everything I’ve read online; by law I am to receive a 30 minute unpaid lunch break every 6 scheduled hours of work. My shift lead told me on my second day of work that wasn’t the case. She claimed I’m only given a lunch break if I work 10 consecutive hours. Is this true or is this a violation of my rights? If it is, what do I do?
