I am supposed to be paid today and wasn’t. Turns out our company successfully wired the money to our payroll system but THEY use Silicon Valley Bank and are having issues. They (SVB to my company) guaranteed that we will be paid by 6pm PST, which is 9pm where I am. But meanwhile, my bank account over-drafted ($35 but not nothing) and our HR team has not been very responsive to questions. I understand it’s not their fault but I don’t understand how it SHOULD now be MY issue when I’ve worked the time. I’m salaried too so it’s a little tricky with like “well I’ll just clock out and not work until it’s resolved.” Any suggestions?
ETA: it is not just me who wasn’t paid. The entire company, HR included, haven’t been paid via the payroll system.
