I work at a factory (Ik I should expect OT) but last week our company’s sales quarter ended and my line specifically exceeded production requirements by a lot more than expected. We did so good we even had a meeting with the vice president of the company who was praising us but then he told us that since we did so well the company decided to raise our production requirements by a lot.
Then he told us that in order to meet the new production requirements we will have to start working 6 days a week most weeks from now on and they tried to make it sound like a good thing by saying “don’t worry, it’s all overtime pay so you’ll have extra money in your pockets”. I’m so pissed off. I don’t want to do six day weeks. Why are we getting punished for doing something good ?
