Here’s some background context.

I work for a fairly established renovation company that’s based within southern Ontario that has about 35-40 staff, about 15-20 within designers, sales and pre-construction and another 15-20 on the construction side, labourer (1-3), carpenters 3-5), site supervisors (3) and project managers (1-4) and upper management (4-5)

In my little over a year with the company as a site supervisor, there has been an average of 1-2 employers either leaving on their own or being let go/fired.

More recently, one of the two remaining project managers had left company, giving a standard 2 week notice for his departure. Upon his departure, in an attempt to continue to facilitate the ongoing projects, upper management has now reallocated the former project managers work load and responsibilities onto myself and one other site supervisors, along with our already workload and responsibilities, with no prior conversation of the changes and expectations, no additional compensation or any ability to voice one’s thoughts.

I don’t want to sound ungrateful/unappreciated of my job, but more the fact I wasn’t even ask and just had this dumped on me.

My question is, is this allowed?
