Fear of layoffs combined with complete demotivation to look for another job brings anxiety and depression spiraling

I have been a contractor working in the project coordinator/junior PM realm for about 2 years with a major company in the US. The workload isn't too bad- but I dread that as a contractor and being expendable, I will be given the boot someday soon or at the end of this contract. This isn't even the biggest concern of mine, however. I have tried to get out of the contractor role for a while now by applying to permanent roles and, as many of you have noticed, it's rough out there. If I get interviews, I am turned away after the second one for a better candidate. Honestly, I am just done and unmotivated to work. Even applying to these jobs, I am not excited at the idea AT ALL. Not like I used to be when I was younger (I'm hitting 33 now). I just think “more time…

I just think “more time given to someone else…less time to spend the money I make…and probably have to deal with shit management and culture again, statistically speaking..” the idea of starting over and over again every couple of years fucking sucks too. I hate it. It's anxiety from the fear of losing your job and depression from the dread of finding and working at another combined that is killing me.
