Maybe not a new idea here, but my kids’ school district is debating a “homework-free night” which got me thinking that (especially in the context of multiple studies showing homework does more harm than good) all homework really does is prepare kids to show up somewhere and sit at their desk for a “shift” and then take more work home with them?
