Just venting really. Had a manager try to bust my balls the other day, basically he was being lazy and wanted to be on his phone instead of opening a gate he’s supposed to open for me as a manager while I’m on the forklift. Says I “have to pay my dues”. I say I paid enough dues in this shitty job and I said “damn, your lazy dude, all you do push a cart around all day.” He goes on a rant about how he does so much more and has to clean up after everyone’s mess if we don’t finish on schedule… but the thing is I used to work the overnight in this store, so I know that he doesn’t do any of that and that the overnight was being held accountable for everything the closing shift didn’t finish. So I tell him that I know he doesn’t do that, and that the overnight does that. He then switched his stance and says “look my job title as manager means I have to listen to everybody complaining and then I have to talk to the other managers and listen to them complain.” And I’m like “I hear you, but that’s why you get paid the big bucks “ he says “well sometimes the big bucks aren’t worth it” I say “well that must be tough “ and then he tries to keep on complaining to me about his problems and I’ve got shit to do so I stop him and I’m like hey I was just busting your balls man. And he kinda stops and says “yeah well it’s not the first time I’ve heard that”… I wonder why. Well anyways now he won’t look me in the eyes and kinda makes slick comments here and there when he sees me drowning in my department and I guess I’m on his bad side. I’m about to go to hr and see if he’s left any bad notes about me cause I heard I can dispute them if there are any. He just seems like the kinda dude to get his ego hurt and then try to get you fired behind your back, or sneakily make your job harder than it needs to be.
