I work in admin.. I have zero motivation. My dad is terminally ill and I am his POA and I coordinate his care. I am so overwhelmed. My work is good about me being on my phone for that stuff but I can tell it annoys them and it sucks because it's out of my control. I have no motivation and it's dead, and I hear little comments that suggest we should constantly be asking for more to do. I don't see why I have to chase that. My manager asks me to do something, I do it. I've never said no. I don't know why we are always “tested” to see if we “show initiative.” I do the work as it comes in and get paid slightly more than minimum wage. I've been that worker who never stops. It didn't help and if anything my managers just expected constant productivity. I feel like I'm going through some sort of personal revolt. I'm just done and I don't give a fuck and I just wanna sleep
