Forced Prayer in the workplace

So I work for a Major soda retailer, When we are required to attend meetings or gatherings , Our GM will bless the food , The problem I have is that it's based on his faith only and you are told if you don't agree with his faith to bow your head in respect, My question what could I do about this? Is it safe to approach HR? Speak to the GM directly? Any help is appreciated
