One of the shifts at my work is sick call replacement. Basically they’ll call you some time after 8am if they have a shift for you. Recently they changed the start time to 6am. So now I’m expected to wake up 2 hours earlier for on call for sick days, with no additional pay. Should there be compensation for me sitting around my phone all morning, knowing I need to be ready to leave within 20 minutes at any moment???
