Any out spoken critic that was left of center, at all, was often threatened or put into concentration camps once the Nazi party had control over the Weimar Republic.
It’s absolutely wild the rhetoric they had that was in favor of the capitalists and business owners. Many of their worker policies were rooted in fascism. When a country starts restricting workers rights to negotiate salary, to unionize, and to strike, it is a quick descent.
Fun fact: at its highest point, Nazi Germany only had 10% of its population as Nazi party members. Don’t let any sympathizers convince you that those who were a part of the Nazi party were just workers. You had a choice to not be in the party, and most Germans chose not to be in the party.
