I’ve been working at a place for a few years and with about 10k in my 401k. Don’t I at least get a percentage of what was in there? I’m being told that I need to put in a minimum of 10 years at this company to even get a percentage of it, and I won’t receive the full amount unless I do 30 years (I work at a jail). Every other place I’ve been at I’m pretty sure they give it to you when you leave regardless of time on the job.
