Can a company request you take Annual leave for an IT issue that prevents you from working that they can’t fix?

The issue has only been on-going for 4 days but it pretty much leaves me sitting around doing nothing which only affects me, not my other team members who can continue to work. My manager got in touch and mentioned that if the error persists I may have to take AL until it's resolved. I had a quick Google and according to fair work AUS a request for annual leave can only be made by the company if: The company is in a mandatory shut down period or The employee has an excessive amount of annual leave. The issue has only been on-going for 4 days but it pretty much leaves me sitting around doing nothing which only affects me, not my other team members who can continue to work. My manager got in touch and mentioned that if the error persists I may have to take AL until it's resolved. I had a quick Google and according to fair work AUS a request for annual leave can only be made by the company if:

  1. The company is in a mandatory shut down period or
  2. The employee has an excessive amount of annual leave.

Neither applies in this situation, as I have used up just about all of my AL recently, hence not wanting to use anymore for an issue outside of my control. What makes the situation slightly more difficult is I work outside of regular business hours so all of my communication with IT has been through my manager. So far they haven't had a member of IT work overtime to fix the issue with me present and other commitments that they are aware of keep me from accessing my work computer during their business hours. Any advice would be appreciated!
