Company choose people without any knowledge

I worked as an IT guy and several years ago I was put forward as a volunteer to be a scrum master (Agile workplace). I wasn’t sure what to expect but the work actually suited me perfect. People were happy with me, colleagues were happy since I managed all the work the that was coming their way, so any bottlenecks were mostly resolved even before they got to do their job. Management was also very happy and linked 2 other teams to me to be their Scrummaster. I did this for about a year before the company decided to make it an official /legit function. I applied of course but…the company choose 2 people who never ever had any experience with Scrum, no training, nothing! Worst thing was I worked 5days a week but the new Scrummasters only worked half at most. Guess that being a brown nose is helpful…

Guess that being a brown nose is helpful for some people to get up on the company’s ladder.
You guessed right when you thought that I didn’t do anything scrum related for them anymore…if they don’t see the wrong choice the management took, then I’m not investing my time anymore. Karma
