Hi everybody,
I (33M) work at a company for a year and a half, in logistics, after working for 7 years in another big logistics company.
A month ago I received an offer from a pharmaceutical company, to work in their logistics department. It was a great offer, with a high salary. I informed my current company, and they revised my salary to the same value so I could continue there since I am doing a great job (according to them).
What happens is that I am feeling being left behind. I have another colleague (25F, let's name her Jessica)), that started there around 3 months after me. It's her first job, and they are really investing in her, although my manager already told me that she will probably leave in a year or less because she will probably wants to other stuff.
Another colleague of ours, that is working there for 4 years, will leave for another company, and they will promote Jessica to that vacant position. She will learn a lot more than me, although she is younger than me in the company and although they don't believe she will stay until retirement.
What do you think about this? Because I really don't understand why did they want to keep me but don't seem to interested in investing in my growing there.
