I work at a high-end clothing store at a shopping mall as a camera operator. Like most stores, there is music playing on the sound system throughout the store, interspersed with occasional ads. Until recently, it was maybe one ad every hour or so. Now, for some godforsaken reason, an ad plays every couple of minutes. There is nothing in this world I hate more than ads. My ears are beginning to bruise from plugging my ears so much. I can not focus on my work because of it. I asked my boss if we could turn off the sound system in the camera room, but he refused because it's integrated with our paging system. I feel like I'm going insane. A dozen ads have played over the course of writing this post. This has been going on for over a week.
