Failure of the company I work for seems on the horizon.

In the last 6 months we lost 3 guys of the 9 we had. Only 3 of us are trained “installers” including myself. The other 3 install a different side of the business, are extremely good at what they do, and when the busy season starts they'll no longer be available to help my side. I am supervisor, installer, inventory manager, personell manager, scheduler, and problem solver. We apparently aren't profitable enough, despite the 2.5M in sales we did last year. My health insurance has lapsed due to premiums not getting paid and now I have to do that myself. We don't seem to even be bothering to find other help; and there's an air of disenfranchisement amongst all people that aren't…how you say “management” or “sales” but they're showing their frustration with the owner. He's burned many bridges with me to the point where I just have no desire…

We don't seem to even be bothering to find other help; and there's an air of disenfranchisement amongst all people that aren't…how you say “management” or “sales” but they're showing their frustration with the owner. He's burned many bridges with me to the point where I just have no desire to speak with him anymore.

I figure it's time to find a new job, yet now I'm finding it oddly hard to find any place that actually pays properly for the work. Those that do reach out to me are absolute jokes.

Honestly, I'd rather start my own woodworking business, but I'm falling a little short of the savings I need to get that going at full speed.
