No Budget so I give my own PTO

I am a manager at a non profit that supports people with disabilities. I've been there for more than a decade., working up from the bottom. I love my job, and I love my staff. If I had my way, I'd pay them all $25/hr and give hefty years end bonuses, etc. Our wages are directly tied to how much reimbursement we get from the government. We lobby the legislature for higher wages constantly. As my title states, our budget for rewards, gifts, recognition is minimal. As I've been there for so long (and I'm overworked and rarely take time off) I have almost 300 hours of PTO built up. I can only carry over 300 hours into next year so I've started donating it to my staff to thank them. It feels so paltry: here's 10 hours of PTO – take 1 day off on me. I wish I…
