Can my manager force me to work a day I have specified I am not available to as a part time worker ?

I’ve been working part time at a restaurant for almost 9 months now and from the start I’ve specified my availability is on Fridays and Saturdays. Ever since 3 months ago I’ve had a new manager that seems to disregard my availability whenever he needs me. I was told to work on a Sunday. Usually this wouldn’t be an issue if I’m free or don’t actually have anything booked I don’t mind helping as this happened twice before but this time I have actual things planned and going on. It’s 2 weeks in advance and I spotted it on my rota and I immediately contacted my manager saying that unfortunately it’s an important day for me I’m with family and it’s not one of my available days so I can’t make it. To which I was told that I just have to come in because someone has a holiday booked…

To which I was told that I just have to come in because someone has a holiday booked and they’re not interested because it’s apparently not an “availability” but day “preference”. Even though I have proof I specified I can’t do a Sunday.

What can I do now?
