I’m looking for some advice here. My job knew my wife’s upcoming due date for a little while. A few weeks ago, they put me on a performance improvement plan that ends one week before my wife’s due date with a possible outcome that I will get fired if I don’t meet the expectations outlined in the plan. I have already filed for and have screenshots of them approving my fmla both in the system and emails from HR. I live in Pennsylvania. What should I be doing now to protect myself?
As I said, I already have collected screenshots and saved them on a google drive with all of this documentation. I’ve also saved screenshots of questionable or hostile written interactions with my supervisor as well as a journal of our interactions that have been verbal. As background my supervisor is at best unprofessional and at worst, verbally abusive so I thought it was important to store this information which obviously led to this situation I now find myself.
